Whilst the Cereform name has only been in use for a few years, decades of experience back up the company that's today known a recognised leader in bakery ingredients

In 1982, our parent company Associated British Foods set up AB Ingredients to provide in-house knowledge and technology to ABF's food companies.

It quickly became apparent that the capability of AB Ingredients had much wider application to the global baking industry and the company was soon growing and sharing that expertise with the wider baking world. Our original success with powdered dough conditioners was soon followed by innovative developments in fluid fats and fluid dough conditioners.

In the late 1990s, merger with Kingsgate Food Ingredients broadened our activities into cake and flour confectionery and this was reinforced in 2002 with the acquisition of Kerry SPP, which also made us the owners of the UK's only soya mill.

The newly combined company needed a new name and a new identity and soon became known as Cereform - taking its name from an abbreviation of the term 'cereal formulations'.

Today Cereform is a vibrant and critical element within the global yeast and bakery ingredients division - AB Mauri - where it provides and develops innovation and technology for the baking world.
